Daisy stands at only three feet tall with larger, slightly pointed ears. She has the nimbleness of her people, allowing her to move a little more easily through creatures larger than her. Her size grants her more ability to hide, behind both people and objects. In particular, though, she has the luck of her people on her side. When she's about to fail an act very badly, her supernatural luck can often help her avoid critical failures. Sometimes even helping her gain complete success in a situation. Although sometimes luck fails, and she still may end up with her critical failure. Daisy is also specially gifted with a rarer luck among her people ( second chance ). This skill allows her to impose luck at least once in a fight on another person she can see making an attack.

RANGER >> Daisy's early life was spent honing her skills with nature to better serve her people. As such, Daisy developed a particular set of skills to aid her in surviving the wilds both around her homelands and generally abroad.

( FAVORED ENEMY ) Being so removed from normal human society, one of the greatest threats to Daisy's halfling community were the beasts that roamed the wilds outside their home. Daisy spent her youth training to recognize typical patterns and behaviors of beasts in order to track them with greater ease. She studied beasts broadly, not focusing on specific ones, but if there's a beast nearby she can usually spot the signs of them and track them. Though she may not be able to identify the type specifically or whether or not it has magical properties.

( NATURAL EXPLORER ) Daisy's home was surrounded by forests, so her favored terrain became forest type settings. Daisy tends to have a better understanding of forests and can notice more subtle things when tracking in forests. She can also move with ease through most forests, especially if she's been in them for around an hour or so to familiarize herself with unfamiliar forests. She has a particular skill with foraging in forests, and also tracking generally in forests. Being so accustomed to the terrain, she can typically tell the size, numbers, and how long ago creatures of any kind have moved through particular areas in a forest.

( FIGHTING STYLE ) While most hunters preferred blades, Daisy was always so adept at moving swiftly and quietly. Thus she tended to prefer using two weapons, and became quite skilled at the art of two weapon fighting, so long as both weapons are more on the lighter side. She tends to favor rapiers and daggers in battles, and twin daggers in hunting.

( PRIMEVAL AWARENESS ) Attuned to the magical feelings of specific creatures, Daisy can sense aberrations, dragons, celestials, elementals, fey, fiends, or undead within a mile of herself or up to six miles if she's in forested area. This sense requires her to expend energy like she might for a spell, reducing her magical energies for the day she uses it and resulting in less spells being able to be cast that day.

( BEASTMASTER ) Being so focused on beasts, Daisy specialized in working with beasts as well to help her in her goals. She learned how to magically bond with a creature up to twice her size and on the slightly less aggressive scale, so long as it wasn't hostile to her. This creature, a giant weasel named Duke, accompanied and obeyed Daisy as a beloved companion. Daisy could command him to act on her turn instead of acting herself if necessary, and due to it's size Daisy could ride Duke. If unable to command Duke, he focused on defense of himself and Daisy if necessary. If Duke ever died, Daisy has the ability to spend 8 hours magically bonding with another beast so long as it was on the lower end of hostility and no greater than twice her size ( twice her size being average size of a human ).

( SPELLCASTING ) Spending so much time in nature and focusing on hunting, Daisy was able to pick up a couple of spells to help enhance her hunting skills. One such spell called Longstrider allowed her to move at a quicker pace than usual, though no quicker than a human might move. Hunter's Mark was her most used spell, a spell that allowed her to magically mark a creature for creature striking power. She could cause more damage with this spell, and had greater skill in tracking a creature marked in this way. It does require concentration however, meaning she can't cast another spell that requires concentration or she would lose her mark, and taking damage ran the risk of losing her concentration as well. Absorb Elements was her final spell, a spell that she can cast in reaction to taking acid, cold, fire, lightning, or thunder damage. The spell helps her resist most damage to the element, and then channel the resisted damage into her next melee attack for extra damage.

ROGUE >> After leaving her home, Daisy began to harness her skills less for hunting purposes and focusing more on her favored fighting style. She preferred the way of the rogue as a way to harness her nimble skills and small size for greater effect, skills that came in handy as a sailor at sea.

( EXPERTISE ) Daisy grew more effecting at skills that required a dexterous hand, particularly stealth and sleight of hand. As such, she also learned how to pick pockets or locks with her thieve's tools. She's not perfect, but she does have a high chance of success at skills requiring her to sneak around or perform sleights of hand.

( SNEAK ATTACK ) Taking advantage of situations in battle, Daisy can often work in a sneak attack in weaker places for particularly higher extra damage in fight. She has not only learned to take advantage of situations, especially with allies within five feet of her enemy, but also if there happens to be no other creatures within five feet of her but her enemy.

( THIEVES' CANT ) While thieves' cant can take more time to deliver a simple message, Daisy knows particular jargon and ways of speech that allow her and others who know the language to disguise messages in plain speech. It's not a simple language, but something she could teach to others.

( DUAL WIELDER ) Daisy has enhanced her skill with two weapons. She is quicker to draw and stow two weapons at once in a fight. She can also use her weapons to help heighten her defense. And she can sometimes use stronger, one-handed weapons instead of simply daggers and rapiers. Though she does personally stick to only daggers and rapiers.

( FANCY FOOTWORK ) Being so quick and nimble, Daisy has a learned a number of normal skills to take advantage of her speed. When in battle, she can easily attack and disengage from a fight without taking any damage to give herself distance again. She can also react quickly to deflect some of an attack coming at her for lessened damage. She jumps into battle more quickly than others might. And when she's attacked with skills that require her to attempt to dodge damage, she can usually escape quickly for either half as much effect or no effect if she's even quicker.

( PANACHE ) As a swashbuckler, Daisy has also harnessed her quick wit for a more persuasive tongue. She is able to unnerve enemies at time with her persuasive language and charm friends even moreso into helping her.

GENERAL SKILLS >> Over her time, Daisy has rounded out a number of skills to help her survive. She is able to use Navigator Tools and has experience using water type vehicles. She is skilled with lighter and medium armors, even shields, and martial and simple weapons. She knows Common, Elvish, Halfling, and Thieves' Cant as far as languages go. She has particular skills with athletic style feats and can be highly deceptive when she desires to be. She has even higher expertise, focusing on training her eye for high perception, but also becoming an expert in stealth, sleight of hand, and survival type skills.

SUMMER-SKY >> Daisy doesn't have a lot of skills that aren't natural to her, but she will find her luck not quite as reliable as it once was drawing from a weaker stone for that skill now. Her spells will also take more energy, especially ones requiring concentration. And the longer spells she has to hold aren't quite as easy to hold and become more taxing on her. In the long-term, it won't have much effect on her current skill set as she didn't heavily rely on magic before.

Personality

Everyone knows that Whitfoot is born with far too much luck and far too much trouble, and Daisy Whitfoot was no exception.

It was apparent from the day Daisy Whitfoot opened her eyes that mischief was just behind those deep greens, ready to be let loose the second the child could learn to walk. For Daisy it was even earlier than that. From the moments she could walk her feet would wander and take her far and to places she wasn't allowed. Always up to trouble even as a child, that wild spirit found it hard to settle even when adulthood came knocking.

All the Elders hoped Daisy might calm with age, as all her little school friends did, but Daisy was never so droll. Any time she was sitting for too long her feet would tap restlessly, and she'd fidget at her hands aching for more.

Daisy always ached for more. She didn't understand why, but something inside her gnawed to be filled by a life that burrows and pastures couldn't provide. Her home was too quiet. The eeriness of it all left her even more unsettled than others had dared hope. She felt that empty spot in her soul grow deeper with age. Where it had lessened for her friends, it had only become an abyss that couldn't be fulfilled in Daisy. She watched as her friends settled into homes and families, while she took up the acquaintance of a giant weasel.

Duke had been a taste of a greater adventure that became an unquenchable flame. Adventure drove every day of Daisy's life and set her out on her path. Some would say Daisy didn't know what fear was, and to some degree she thought that might be true. Maybe there was something broken inside of her. Something where fear and dread should restrain her, but instead a chasm only edged her forward.

Though in truth, she believed she was driven by fear more than anything. She feared the chasm in her soul and what that feeling might do if it consumed her in it's entirety. Daisy knew a part of her was broken that she couldn't find happiness in the simple pleasures her family and friends all did. And it scared her to think that maybe that meant she would never find happiness. Maybe she'd be driven unending.

A part of Daisy still lives with that fear to this day, though adventurer has tamed her soul to some extent.

Ever the sweet child, Daisy's mischief was always followed by fun and love. Daisy may have been trouble, but it came from a want of free laughter for all and not a desire to see others hurt. Thought she was as fierce a fighter as any, Daisy was pragmatic in her fighting. Kill when death was looking you in the eye, otherwise spare those that might need your mercy most. Always willing to fall for a good story, Daisy found the good in people at all times. It's how she found such deep kindred among the thieves of Lady Black.

And when sadness finally came knocking at Daisy's door, Daisy met it with the same laughter she had show life when it asked her to settle down. Feeling as though the world constantly wanted her to be small, Daisy met every challenge with a courage and tenacity that was borderline dangerous. The loss of Vil, her family, and the world in it's entirety has left that abyss in Daisy's soul deeper than it ever was. She hides that pain under laughter and enough chaos to drown her sorrows in. She's not quite sure what to do with it when she meets it one day, she only hopes she can outrun it that she never has to find out.

Daisy is quick to love and laugh. Her anger burns as bright as her joy when truly pushed, though it's hard to find what might really set the girl off. It tends to be the things that openly threaten her joy or those she loves. It can be fun to watch her try to bear a grudge, but she's too easy to happiness even when set off. She knows that there's a world willing to laugh with her, and all she hopes is to find the piece of her that will truly make her feel whole for once in her life. Until then, she's more than happy to embrace the chaos of the world and laugh with it all the way down into the abyss.

History

Simple pleasures keep many people well fed and happy from birth to their last days. Daisy was never one to feel settled in simple pleasures. Quiet always unnerved the child. She was known to scream just to break a perfectly good silence and laugh all through a swatting for it.

Daisy's mischievous nature was often contagious. She was rarely seen without company of some sort. Gangs of children flocked to Daisy for the types of tricks and mischief she'd play about town. Crickets in the Elder's tea, cheese in the baker's pockets that would mold and sour within days ( Daisy laughed for weeks when that one was discovered, "Serves him right for not checking his pockets in three days!" ), and wheels that fell of wagons at a touch. The wild child's antics were contagious in her youth, but for most the wonders of mischief wear off with time. The town had hoped Daisy's own wildheart would settle as she grew older, but instead her gangs only lessened until she was a eventually a gang of one.

Attempting to temper the wildling's chaotic nature, the Elders set Daisy to the task of providing for the village. The town needed the forests protected, and sometimes meats needed to be collected when traders became lost on the trails. Unfortunately, the forests were rarely inhabited by anything more interesting than a rabbit. Once in a blue moon Daisy might chase off an owlbear with hooting, hollering, and daggers flying, but the events were so rare that it was never enough for the energy pent up in the girl. Instead of turning to more mischief, however, Daisy turned her attentions inward. She began to harness her energies and focus her drives towards becoming a better hunter. The best hunter. Then just maybe, she might be able to find bigger adventures in the woods.

The more Daisy trained the more she tapped into innate magic that came with hunting. She found her aim stronger, her step quicker, and sometimes she found she could take more damage than she ever expected. She harnessed her talents until finally she ventured past the normal boundaries of the forests outside her home. It was like fate had risen up to meet the call Daisy had put forward, and it was shortly thereafter that she encountered a beast unlike any she'd fought before. A giant, feisty weasel tested her limits. It goaded her strength out of her and wore her down with time. At the same time, Daisy matched it blow for blow. Slowly the pair whittled away at each other's stamina until the two were left draped and panting and both within inches of their lives. It was here that Daisy laughed at the chaos her little trip had brought her, and it was in this way that Daisy met Duke.

The town found themselves unsettled by the nature of the giant weasel Daisy called friend. Duke followed her willingly and obeyed every command. He always seemed a bit hair triggered to protect, and Daisy loved that near wildness to him. She never tempered it, even when the Elders banged down her door and demanded she relinquish the beast back to the wilds.

They were too late. Daisy had already gone with Duke.

The world was big and bright and full of unending fields and flowers and eventually oceans. Daisy let Duke take lead, traveling where ever the beast wanted to go. At least until Daisy caught her first scent of ocean. From there she drove the beast towards the water and let the beauty spread before her set the course for the rest of her life.

The scrappy little halfling had little trouble finding work. Her mischief and her people's penchant for good work made her a prime candidate for joining up with a bunch of pirates on board the Lady Black. The Ladies, as the crew so affectionately called themselves, welcomed Daisy with open arms. It took one day at sea to realize the halfling was almost as much trouble as she was luck. Daisy's halfling luck seemed to help keep the crew out of many bad situations, but her fear of a good day's work made her almost more trouble than she was worth. But for however much Daisy feared true work, she adored honing her skills in battle. Daisy may not have been good at swabbing decks, but she was damn near masterful with a blade and sword. And with Duke, she was night unstoppable even on the seas.

The Lady Black was home to Daisy and Duke for the next several years of her life. It took her far and wide, showing her a world beyond her wildest imaginations. The views were so stunning, that Daisy barely noted when her purse became lighter and lighter with each haul of treasure. She remembered counting more treasure among one cleaned out cove, yet her share didn't seem to match what she'd seen.

She dismissed it, as adventure was what truly owned her heart, at least until a young man by the name of Vilyedin entered the picture.

Almost as chaotic a spirit as herself, the young bard stood out even more in a crowd than Daisy herself. There weren't so many halflings near the waters, but even less genasi like the boy before her. While his blue skin was unique, it was his voice that truly captivated her. And his playful songs.

The two were near inseparable from the first moment.

His energy matched Daisy's near perfectly, and it was like finding her youth all over again. Vil was up for just as much mischief as Daisy was, even when he was sometimes the butt of her mischief. She liked to challenge him with how far he would let her go, and he always gave just as good as he got. The pair were a fast match and spent months in each other's company. Vil even accompanied the Ladies on some of their journeys as their official bard for a time.

The morning after Daisy had carelessly said she loved the boy, she discovered that he had gone. There was no note. No explanation. And even less time for mourning the loss of him.

Shortly after his disappearance, the news reached the shores. The end of times was coming, and it was for real this time.

In the following years, Kara-Tur rounded up powerful individuals with magic to begin work on a rumored Ark to leave Toril before it was too late. With little money to support her new trek, Daisy sold out her captain on a simple charge, getting the captain of the Ladies arrested for petty theft and held for much larger crimes. In the ensuing chaos, Daisy stole what money she believed to be rightfully hers ( and maybe a little extra ) and made her way to Tyongi in Kara-Tur. She told herself a chance at survival was on that ship, but the truth was that she wondered if Vil's magic had qualified him for work on the Ark.

Tyongi was more chaos than Daisy had ever known. The tented city outside Tyongi was full of marauders and beggars alike, making every day a fight for survival as the rumored asteroid came ever closer to Toril. Daisy huddled here with Duke, taking up physical labor where she could in hopes of finding her way onto that Ark. Her luck finally came in handy when Tyongi came under attack from the citizens of the tented city. With little time left, the Ark began to prepare for take off into the wilds of space to escape the threat at home. War decimated the city, and Daisy and Duke took advantage of the madness to sneak onto the Ark. Once the Ark was sealed, it was too late to deny the pair their place. While being herded into cryo chambers, Daisy caught a glimpse of the boy she'd been looking for.

The last sight she saw until red lights, alarms, and five similar faces woke her the next day.

Confused and disoriented, androids of similar appearance escorted Daisy and Duke from the cryochambers. The Ark was dying, and they had woken everyone remaining from their sleep in a last ditch effort to save them. Finding similarly disoriented companions, Daisy joined up with a bunch of misfits just trying to make their way to safety. A man by the name of Tolin, older and apparently responsible for the androids that had awoken them, explained their situation. The Ark was infected by disease, people were rebelling against the society they had helped build, and hope was in short supply.

The group barely made their way to escape pods, learning that the Ark was hovering above Faerun and that escape could lead to safety. Could being a target word here. Rumors were that the planet was riddled with radiation and wasn't wholly confirmed for safe living, but there was little other options for the group. The Ark was failing, and none of them had the means to save it. In their escape, they learned that many believed Tolin responsible for the disease decimating the Ark. They didn't have time to debate the innocence of the man, and eventually Elazra pushed that they take him. He had helped them so far, and she felt it unfair to judge him now. He was dying anyway, cancer having stricken his body, so why not let him die with one last look at Faerun.

Crashing to Faerun had been a chaotic experience. The group had all survived, though. A lizardfolk named Shriah, a genasi named Indra, a half-orc named Elazra, and a gnome named Gozu had survived along with Tolin, those his remaining androids had perished in the ensuing chaos.

Faerun was livable.

Faerun was also heavily inhabited.

A gnome helped save the group from the caves they had crashed in, taking them home and believing them to simply be displaced adventurers. His home was a thriving city of many different races, all fearing the aliens that had started falling from the sky. Feeling their time limited in this place, the group tried to escape before the city officials caught on to them. They failed. Many were arrested, Tolin leading the police straight to the group, and those that escaped helped plan how to break the others out. They freed many prisoners, losing Gozu in the process but gaining the aid of a wizard gnome named Edron for their troubles.

Fleeing from the madness, the group stumbled on a shrine dedicated to an imprisoned dryad. Edron stopped to read the information, and mistakenly the group freed the woman imprisoned in the stone.

The dryad was searching for eternal life, and promised the adventurers aid for their troubles. They rejected her offers before continuing to the next city, though the offers weighed heavily on their minds as they traveled.

All the time, Daisy kept her search up for Vil. He had been on the Ark, but she had seen no sign of him in her escape. There had been other pods that had escaped to Faerun, and she wondered if he might be out in the vast world that they had once thought dead. Yet 5500 years later, Faerun still stood.

They all remembered the Catastrophe as though it were yesterday for them.

Because it was.

Paranoid, scared, and displaced, the group struggled to find their footing as a party. Each had their own goals, and no one knew how to survive in this brand new world. Succumbing to his paranoia, Indra murdered Tolin in his sleep in the next inn they stayed at. Elazra had liked Tolin, feeling that the mob mentality had punished him unfairly, and thus called for police to aid in the murder. While Daisy had helped cover for Indra, not quite knowing where her loyalties truly lay just yet, Edron sold Indra out to the police in full. Indra was arrested for his part in Tolin's murder, and barely managed to escape his own trial. Having felt that Indra had acted in such a way that he had thought he was protecting society at large, the judge gave Indra to the custody of the bounty hunter from their previous troubles in Gozuville.

The party rescued Indra from the bounty hunter, and eventually found their way back at the dryad's feet. This time, the group was less certain of where their loyalties to each other and this world stood. Indra swore himself in service to Valeria out of hope for more strength, Shriah out of hope that Valeria might be of some greater use, and Elazra with the promise that Tolin would be revived. The three were charged with tasks to prove themselves to Valeria, bringing her back weapons from her former life and the body of Tolin. However, Indra was tasked with a greater goal that he had accomplished, the young baby born to the rulers of the town they had just left.

The surrounding area was no longer safe to reside in, and the three were again tasked to find Valeria a new home. Sent nearly across the entire country, the group set out to find Valeria a home.

Unsure of her place in the group now that they did the bidding of an evil goddess who held a baby for a reason no one wanted to ask, Daisy found herself more secluded from the others as time went on. Fearing being alone as she had been in her youth, however, she stuck with the group no matter where their adventures took them. She helped clear out a tunnel of cloistered barbarians who feared light and other undead creatures for Valeria to move into, and she helped the group search for Valeria's descendant that she hoped to use as a sacrifice to her power.

Really, it was getting very problematic for Daisy.

The better news came when it seemed that Edron, a new companion named Durthen, and Elazra seemed uncertain of continuing to follow Valeria. Indra slowly followed suit and Shriah with him, and Daisy was more than happy to aid the group with the new goal of eliminating Valeria.

Their goal took them to the City of Yorr, a city at the base of a volcano populated with former prisoners indentured to serve out their life in Yorr. The city lived in terror of magma giants up the mountain, however, and the group took advantage of that fear to take the city. By accident, really, but when the magma giants took out the ruling class in an attempted sit down, the group rose to the occasion to defend Yorr. They won the hearts of the people in that battle, and made allies of the city. After suffering a great loss, the magma giants were more open to trade negotiations, and with them the group amassed an army from Yorr and magma giants to help fight against Valeria. Tolin worked to obtain allies from Gozuville, and eventually they had their army to fight their once goddess.

As they approached, Valeria made rain to weaken the giants. She flooded her entrances so few could enter. They managed to still bring a small army into her temple, but Elazra lost power Valeria had gifted her when she pledged her life to her. And Tolin and Durthen lost their lives freshly granted them by Valeria. Indra and Shriah had been telling Valeria everything of their plans, and Valeria had been prepared for the attack. Daisy fought alongside Edron and Elazra, but their army quickly fell. Durthen was revived by his own god in the end, and managed to help hold some of their enemies back. However they were overwhelmed, betrayed, and the only way out was escape.

Following Edron's advice, Daisy jumped into the bag of holding with him and Elazra carried them both to Durthen. While in the bag of holding, Edron opened another bag. The result tore a whole through dimensions ten feet wide, and all four were sucked into the Astral Plane.

Elazra became lost the party during the next several hours, wandering into Feywilds and never escaping. Durthen, Edron, and Daisy all reunited, but any foe and friend that followed them into the Astral Plane had perished either from previous wounds or from the group finishing their foes. The three were then pursued by Githyanki, and through sheer luck of Daisy's they found a portal that took them back to their world.

Twelve hours had passed on the Astral Plane, but ten years had passed on Faerun.

The temple was overgrown with disuse, and statues of the fallen four stood outside it's entrance. Indra and Shriah appeared, though not expecting to find the three. Instead, they had been about to prepare a ten year celebration of the fall of Valeria and had come out to honor their fallen friends.

In ten years the pair had defeated Valeria, managing to harness their army for one final attack after seeing the darkness in Valeria when the others had left. They build a new city called the Shield of Yorr a short distance from Yorr. They established trade and so much else in hopes of honoring their fallen friends. All while Daisy, Durthen, and Edron stood still battered and bruised from their battle only hours ago.

The three slowly let the other two show them their city, and even saw how they built out Durthen's religion for him. They were training local wyverns for flying, and so much more. The three carefully let themselves trust in their old friends, only as Valeria was actually dead now, and started to settle into new lives in the Shield of Yorr. They spent a year furthering religion and building a school of magic, all while Daisy searched for Vilyedin to no results, until the group was ready to adventure again.

Tensions still weren't the best, but as they prepared to search for missing compatriots, they were asked to pay a visit to Fasdal in search of a man's sister. Testing the distance of the wyverns, the group did as asked and found the man's sister. Though the sister did not come out in day and had paled considerably, she also cared little of her former life. While that mystery deepend, they had also spotted a portal in the forests to the north. Interested in other dimensions from their previous journeys, Edron and Daisy were too eager to investigate. Literally, too eager. The pair wound up in a dimension of Hell with all their friends. They managed to fight their way out and found an exit portal a mile away, and thus they realized they had to stop the portal. Edron and their newest companion, Garroth, worked to destroy the pillars holding the portal. They had thought that would destroy the portal, but instead it started to expand. Dispel Magic helped to hold the portal down, but not forever.

The group began investigating the strange anomalies in the city. They went to the new master of the sister they had met previously, a Browning and his Lord Valentine. They divulged that they were fully aware he was a vampire, through magical means and sheer logic, and they didn't care. They wanted information and knowledge the man might have from his age. In return, he wanted their help against his enemy Lady Fasdal. Another vampire whom he said threatened his existence. However, Lord Valentine had little information on portals at all. The group decided to meet with Lady Fasdal and ask for her aid before deciding who they trusted in this silent war. Lady Fasdal claimed that Lord Valentine was the true enemy here, and preyed on innocents and devastated the town. She asked for their aid in stopping him, and in turn she would close the portal she had opened in hopes of driving Valentine from his castle. Deciding that the portal was priority, the group spent a day thinking over their offers.

While investigating the claims and knowledge from both lord and lady, Daisy spotted a man she had seen many times near the vampires' keeps studying what seemed to be plants. She helped him collect plants, and manged to convince him to show her what he was working on. He led her to his home, all the way careful of any who might follow, and then to his basement. There he had imprisoned a starving vampire and experimented on ways to kill the vampire. He fed a concoction to an innocent human he fed to the vampire, hoping to poison the vampire, but to no success. The group attempted to use the highly paranoid man's methods to potentially help with their vampire problems, but realized all he had down was create a potent poison for people in the end. They left him to deal with Lord Valentine alone, finding that the Lady's claims were true and Valentine's men regularly attacked the city.

The battle for Valentine's Keep had been relatively easy. They had prepared ten fold for the fight against him, and with their druid, Shriah, shifting to a water elemental and creating constant running water in a box created by their wizard Edron, Valentine fell quickly. They helped take out his remaining vampires that refused to swear themselves to Lady Fasdal, and in the end Lady Fasdal gifted the keep to the adventurers.

Edron decided to deal with the local madmen killing people for his experiments alone, and in the end was defeated. He lived, but the man got away. Daisy spent her time pursuing the man to the ends of the world, knowing that he had potent poisons and every desire to use them. She had to stop him before he killed many. He traveled with another man whom they lost track of, and when they caught up to their enemy they didn't strike the last blow. They never saw who did, but a stray lightning arrow finished him for them. A loose end for a later day.

In return for their help, Lady Fasdal promised to get the group to a flying island in the sky. Magna Island, a place of untold magic and wonder they had heard. They took this offer and ventured to the city in search of knowledge. The city had technology unseen since the time of Tyongi, and it was more than they'd ever known. Cars and electricity and even guns. All information and power hidden from the technologically desolate land beneath them. They tried to search for why, but so much information was locked and hidden from anyone. While they were on the Island, Edron got a call that his school had been attacked. People who had come from the Ark had all been kidnapped by the Inquisition, a force Indra informed them that was known to come from Magna Island to take those with great power for their own use.

The group quickly returned to the school and pursued the kidnappers. They were wholly unprepared for what they faced. The land had been so barren of strong magic, aside from Valeria, that they hadn't expected to find much fight in the Inquisition that they couldn't handle. They were wrong. The Inquisition had lightning and fire cannons they used to scorch the earth and them. Daisy tried more ranged attacks, but eventually targeted all horses she could catch while hasted to stop the carts from escaping. They killed nearly everyone, but two powerful wizards escaped. With them they took the three from the Ark and Garroth. Edron perished when he used a spell poorly and stepped too far from his body when dispelled. Only Indra, Shriah, and Daisy remained.

Licking their wounds back at the Shield of Yorr, Garroth returned to them. He said that he had been transported some odd feet away, let go, and his enemy had walked away. No questions asked. While trying to investigate where the living wizards might have gone, Shriah and Daisy learned from speaking with trees that Garroth had not arrived in the company of a wizard. He had arrived alone.

The group tried to get Garroth to sit on magic nullifying benches from the carts they had taken, but every time Garroth felt pain and refused. Believing him a compromised individual, they tried to subdue him before he could betray them. Shriah dispelled the magic that controlled him, and found that the magic deep in his brain wasn't so easily dispelled. He died in the act, and now Daisy, Indra, and Shriah had to wait for two to revive.

After their revival with the aid of Durthen, Garroth told the group they were being watched and had been watched ever since they had arrived. He had also learned that Magna Island was a forward base and not he real base of the Inquisition, that was on Faerun. Meaning that Magna Island was a pretty distraction for an organization that controlled magic and science, but to what end?

The group now prepares for how to act next, and Daisy feels more and more certain that Magna Island might hold the key to finding Vil if they're truly rounding up Ark members.

SAMPLES
Network Sample

Well this is pretty special... ( she taps a few times at the Far-Caster. ) We used to have smaller ones like these. But this is more interesting I think.

( there's some shuffling as she shifts, getting comfortable with a huff before she continues. ) So, I'm curious. Anyone else been through an apocalypse before, or is this most peoples' first time?

Because I'm starting to think that the "end of the world" is more like code for "bad things are about to happen that will probably do a lot of damage but the world isn't actually going to end." Maybe we need a new word for "almost end of the world" or something. I don't know. Just kind of strange, don't you think?

Anywaaaay. ( she draws out the word. ) I'm not really sure I'm going to be a huge help around here. But if you're looking for a little fun, I think I have a few tricks up my sleeve. Let me know, okay? Tricks are more fun when you get more people involved

Log Sample

| MUSEBOX THREAD

PLAYER
Name Sam
Are you 18 or older? Yes
Contact magickal
Current character n/a

comments
